Clare and Dana’s Beach United Church wedding in Toronto was such a beautiful day to photograph. Beach United Church is a gorgeous, bright ceremony space located in The Beaches, one of the coolest and most charming areas of the city. Between the natural light inside the church, the relaxed neighbourhood feel, and their nearby Kew Gardens wedding portraits, their day had such a sweet Toronto wedding feel from start to finish.

A Meaningful Wedding Day in The Beaches

Clare and Dana have been together for 13 years, and it was so special to see the depth of their relationship celebrated by their closest family and friends. They first met during their final year of undergrad at York University in a literature course, which feels like such a fitting beginning to their story.

Before their ceremony at Beach United Church, Clare and Dana shared a meaningful hand-fasting ceremony at the park. It was such a touching part of the day and added something really personal and heartfelt to their celebration.

Kew Gardens Wedding Portraits in Toronto

After their hand-fasting ceremony, we spent time taking portraits at nearby Kew Gardens. It was the perfect location for relaxed, natural wedding photos surrounded by greenery, garden paths, and a peaceful park setting. I loved that Clare and Dana chose a portrait location that felt beautiful, calm, and connected to the neighbourhood where they were getting married.

Their Kew Gardens wedding portraits gave us a lovely mix of natural scenery and classic Toronto Beaches charm before heading back to the church for the ceremony.

Their ceremony at Beach United Church felt warm, joyful, and full of love. The bright church space photographed beautifully and made such a lovely setting for this part of their wedding day. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour followed by dinner, speeches, dances, and a fun reception with their family and friends.

I also loved that I met Clare and Dana through Monica and Jacob, another couple I photographed last year. It is always such an honour when couples refer their friends, and it was so fun getting to see Monica and Jacob again at the reception.
