Lauren and Anthony’s engagement photos at The Well Toronto were such a fun session to photograph. I had driven past The Well so many times and always wondered what it was like inside, so I was genuinely excited to finally check it out.

And honestly? I was a little shocked by how amazing it was.

The Well has such a cool, modern design, with beautiful architecture, clean lines, hidden walkways and so many different backdrops within one area. It felt more like a little city inside the city than a typical shopping centre, and I immediately knew it would be a great location for Toronto engagement photos.

Scouting The Well for Engagement Photos

I arrived early so I could walk around and scout out the best areas before Lauren and Anthony arrived. Some parts of The Well were very busy, so I wanted to find a few quieter spots where they could feel comfortable and we could take our time.

I found several areas with beautiful lighting, modern backgrounds, and enough space for the session to feel relaxed. Avoiding the busiest sections worked out perfectly, and we were still able to create lots of variety without having to walk too far or compete with large crowds.

That is one of the things I loved most about photographing an engagement session at The Well. There are so many little corners, alleyways, covered areas, and architectural details to work with. Every few steps gave us a completely different look.

A Modern Engagement Session at The Well Toronto

Lauren and Anthony chose a dressy, elegant style for their engagement photos, which worked so well with the modern atmosphere of The Well.

Before we started, they mentioned that they felt a little camera shy. But honestly, you would never know it from their photos. They quickly settled into the session, focused on each other, and let me guide them through it.

We captured a mix of natural walking photos, candid moments, and more polished portraits. Their connection came through so easily, and the whole session felt relaxed and fun.

Relaxed and Natural Engagement Photography

One of my favourite parts of an engagement session is having the chance to get to know my couples a little better before their wedding day.

Lauren and Anthony were so easy to spend time with, and I loved exploring The Well with them. Even though they initially felt a little camera shy, they quickly relaxed in front of the camera. We kept the session natural, with plenty of movement, conversation and simple direction along the way.
