Fall Hogan’s Inn Wedding

Amanda and Jacob’s Hogan’s Inn wedding was on a beautiful fall day in late October.   The day began at Amanda’s parents’ house in Aurora, Ontario.   Amanda and her bridesmaids got ready upstairs and Jacob got ready with his groomsmen downstairs.

When I arrived, I took photos of Amanda’s details in a brightly lit room at the front of the house and then I took some photos of Amanda and her bridesmaids.  At the same time, my second photographer Sam took photos of Jacob and the groomsmen playing pool and having fun and then getting ready as well.

Once Amanda and Jacob were both ready, we headed to the All Saints Anglican Church in King City.  They had a beautiful wedding ceremony with their close family and friends present.

After the ceremony, we took photos around the church property of the bride and groom and the bridal party.   There was a narrow pathway with trees with really nice backlighting in the afternoon that was perfect for their portraits.  We also took a few photos in front of the old church doors which was a nice backdrop.    The church property was ideal for outdoor photos and taking the photos there made the day go very smoothly since we didn’t need to travel.     After we finished the photos, we headed to the nearby Hogan’s Inn restaurant for the reception.

I grew up in Aurora and I’d driven by Hogan’s Inn countless times, but I’d never actually been there.  I was excited to see what this charming looking restaurant was like.   When I entered, I was amazed at the beautiful decor and the cozy atmosphere.   The flowers were gorgeous, and all the details had been so carefully planned.

It was a pleasure to photograph Amanda and Jacobs wedding.  Take a look at some of my favourite photos below…

Amanda and Jacob both got ready at her family’s home in Aurora   There were so many sweet moments that morning…

The ceremony was at the All Saints Anglican Church in King City.  It was located close to Amanda’s parent’s house and the restaurant. There were a lot of really nice moments throughout the ceremony.. like this one where Jacob looked so happy.

After the ceremony was finished, we took photos of the bridal party beside the church.  The afternoon light was filtering through the trees and made it a really nice location for photos.

It’s always fun to do some more active poses with the groomsmen.  It looks like these guys were having fun!

Aren’t Amanda and Jacob a gorgeous couple?!  They are so well suited for each other and they are beautiful inside and out.

Hogan’s Inn restaurant was very cozy inside.  The neutral flowers and decor looked really nice and coordinated with the theme of the restaurant.

The speeches were so entertaining!  I loved hearing the speeches and learning more about the couple.    I got so many great reaction shots of the guests…

It was a pleasure to photograph Amanda and Jacob’s wedding.  Best wishes to this happy couple for an amazing future together!
