The first time I met with Anne and Vas I knew that their outdoor King City wedding would be amazing and unique. Anne and Vas met during high school and they had dated for a long time. They actually went to the same high school as I did in Aurora, Ontario, but graduated quite a few years after me. It was fun to meet an engaged couple that grew up in my hometown.
At the beginning of the wedding planning process, Anne and Vas told me that they decided to have an outdoor tented wedding at Vasilios’ family home in King City, Ontario. They also told me that they hired a professional planner named Brigitte Krause to help them with the planning process. I was quite happy to hear this, because I know from experience that planning a large outdoor home wedding can be quite challenging and having someone to help out is essential.
As we got closer to their wedding date, I went to Vas’s home to scope it out and I was amazed at the amount of effort they were putting into making everything perfect for their big day. Anne, Vas and their families had completed so many big jobs including: clearing a large area of the property so that they could have a parking lot and cleaning up all the forested areas of the property (which were huge!). They also planted flowers everywhere and hung up string lights in the trees. When I arrived at Vas’s family home on the day of their wedding, I was blown away with how amazing everything looked. It was obvious that a lot of thought and effort went into making everything perfect for their wedding.
I loved the rustic glam vibe of the tent, wooden chairs and harvest tables. The bright pink and white flowers looked gorgeous and the chandelier in the middle of the tent was such a nice touch. The food, which was catered by Eatertainment, was amazing and so fresh. As the speeches were made, it became increasingly clear what an amazing couple Anne and Vas were. They both have so many talents and they were able to pull off a gorgeous wedding in a challenging time. I loved being there to capture their big day.
Check out some of my favourite photos form their wedding below…
Anne got ready in her families home in Aurora. They had this perfect room for the getting ready photos. I loved the light neutral walls and the big window in the room.
Vas got ready with his groomsmen and family at his home in King City. There was so much excitement as everything was coming together for the reception.
The ceremony was at a church in Aurora and had a limited number of guests. I loved this sweet moment when Anne’s father gave her away to Vas.
After the ceremony, we headed back to Vas’s house where there was a gorgeous tent set up on the property.
We took some photos of the bridal party and the couple around the property and there were so many spots to choose from. The property is nicknamed the “tree farm” because there are so many trees.
Anne and Vas snuck away from their guests for a few moments around sunset and we took some photos in a field across the street…
I loved the twinkly lights strung in the trees around the property. They definitely added a magical sparkle to the photos.
There were so many happy faces at the reception. The speeches were so heartwarming and entertaining.
Vas surprised Anne with a choreographed greek dance that he’d been secretly practising with his friends. It was so well done and really got the crowd excited to get on the dance floor.
What an amazing wedding! I hope Anne and Vas have a wonderful future together!
