Small Earth to Table Farm Wedding – Ash + Joey

I was really excited to photograph A + J’s small Earth to Table Farm wedding last summer. They had been planning their wedding for a long time and covid came along and forced them to change their plans. They were determined to get married in 2020, so they kept adapting their plans to the situation as things evolved. Over the course of the spring and summer they had come with about 5 different plans depending on what happened with covid! All of the plans sounded great, but I’m sure that this must have been very difficult for them to keep adapting and changing things to suit the situation. They were determined to get married in 2020 and in the end, everything paid off.

They ended up getting married on their original wedding date at the Farm in Hamilton, which is a lovely location with beautiful scenery and amazing food. Fortunately, they had really nice weather and they were able to have an outdoor ceremony and reception. The theme of the wedding was “rainbow” and it was a dream to photograph. Everyone had colourful clothing and the colourful decor and flowers were all gorgeous. There was so much love and happiness at this wedding that it really made for a wonderful day. I’m so happy they went through with getting married because it turned out to be amazing and it was a highlight in an otherwise uneventful year. I’m convinced that small weddings are the best type of weddings. You have all the love and happiness, with a lower level of stress and complexity to planning. I felt like A + J’s revised wedding plan was just as spectacular or even better than the original plan. Congratulations A+J on a beautiful wedding!
