Engagement Session at the Guelph Arboretum

This engagement session was very special to me because it was my first engagement session since Covid hit.  I had been looking forward to it for a long time and I was especially excited because Ellen and Hugh are such a fantastic couple   Ellen and Hugh met while studying engineering at Queens and they have been together for a long time.   They have so much in common and they are such a great couple.

On the days leading up to the session, there was a heat wave, with temperatures exceeding 35 degrees celsius at times.  As their session approached, I was getting concerned about the heat, but luckily the temperatures subsided a bit that day.   We decided to meet at the Guelph Arboretum which is a huge natural area beside the University of Guelph.  It is filled with beautiful gardens and many different types of trees and is used for education and leisure.   The arboretum is a beautiful choice for engagement photos and also weddings.

Ellen had studied at the University of Guelph at one point and had spent time walking through the arboretum with Hugh, so it was also a meaningful location for them.   They timed their photos perfectly with the blooming of the lavender in one of the gardens.  It smelled amazing looked so pretty as a backdrop for their photos.   I had a great time getting to know this sweet couple better during their session and I can’t wait for the wedding next year!
