Pretty Arlington Hotel Wedding – Sarah + Andrew

Sarah and Andrew’s Arlington Hotel wedding was on a gorgeous summer day in mid-August.  As soon as I met Sarah and Andrew, I knew their wedding would be beautiful and sweet.   Their wedding was vibrant and had a wonderful feeling of family and community.

Sarah’s getting ready room at the beginning of the day was perfect for photos.  The walls were a light green colour and there was lots of natural soft lighting.   The green of her room matched the colour of her bridesmaids dresses and it all came together perfectly.  After the getting ready period, Sarah and Andrew had a beautiful ceremony at their local church.   Then, we headed to the Huron Natural Area to take some bridal party and bride and groom photos.   I’d never been to the Huron Natural Area before and it was a beautiful location for photography.   This area is located in Kitchener and has some of the most beautiful hiking trails in the area.     I found a few spots that I really liked for the photos.  There was a tree covered pathway that provided some nice shade for the couple and it was located near the entrance of the park.   I found that this was a good place to start.   Afterwards we headed to an area of tall grass that had some pretty backlight and went with the theme of the wedding well.

After we finished the photos, we headed to the Arlington hotel for the reception.  I had never been to the Arlington hotel or Paris, Ontario before this wedding and little did I know that I was in for a treat!  One thing that I love about being a wedding photographer is that I get to check out areas of Ontario that I’ve never seen before.   The hotel is located beside the grand river and has a balcony with a gorgeous view of the river.   The reception room is large with tons of natural light which is something that I appreciate.  Paris, Ontario is such a picturesque town with so many cute shops and the grand river running through it is truly spectacular.

I had a great time taking photos at Sarah and Andrew’s wedding.  It was obvious that they put a lot of thought into their décor and it ended up being so pretty and Pinterest-worthy!   Check out some of my favourite photos below…

Sarah had such pretty details at her wedding, including this sweet book of vows…

I loved the bouquets from gooseberry floral designs and the rose gold rings were very pretty as well.

See what I mean about the pale green room matching the bridesmaids dresses?!  This wasn’t by accident and it ended up looking great in the photos.

This shady patch near the entrance of the Huron Natural Area was a perfect spot for photos.

The soft backlighting and wildflowers in this field looked so dreamy.

I think this Queen Anne’s Lace is considered to be a weed, but it sure looks nice in photos:)

The big window of the Arlington Hotel reception room overlooks the Grand River in Paris, Ontario.  It’s a beautiful view for a wedding reception.
