I met Alicja and Anthony last year at Canada’s bridal show and I was so excited to photograph their wedding.   They are two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, and they are perfectly suited for each other.

The day of their wedding was warm and a little overcast, which was perfect for photos.  They had a church ceremony and then we proceeded to Black Creek Pioneer Village for their photos.   Black Creek is a great option for wedding photography in Vaughan.  It’s located close to a lot of the wedding venues and there are so many different options for photos there.   I love a black creek pioneer village wedding because of the peaceful nature of the area and the natural beauty.

The village is really large and there are tons of historic buildings on the property.  Having buildings like this is nice because they provide a lot of shade which is helpful when you are taking photos in the middle of the day.  There are so many different buildings that you have many options for your photography backdrop.

We started off by taking the bridal party photos by the grain barn which is close to the entrance of the village.  Afterwards, we took some bride and groom photos at the town hall which is a rustic white building with a nice front porch to provide some shade.   We finished off our session in front of the picturesque Robin’s mill.   This was my favourite spot in the village and it’s a popular area for photographers.

Alicja and Anthony’s wedding was so heartwarming and fun.  The day went so smoothly, and the reception was beautiful and entertaining.  Thank you Alicja and Anthony for inviting me to photograph your big day!  Here are some of my favourite photos…
