Sydney and Matt’s Dundas Valley wedding was a beautiful fall celebration at Dundas Valley Golf & Curling Club. The day had everything I love about autumn weddings. There were forested views, warm colour, Escarpment scenery, and that tucked-away feeling that makes this venue feel so special.

Dundas is especially beautiful in the fall. The trees were full of colour, and the light gave their gallery a cozy November glow. Even though their wedding was on November 1, the weather felt unseasonably perfect. It was the kind of day you hope for and do not want to jinx.

The morning also had a personal highlight. Sydney has two cats, and they made several cameos during the getting-ready photos. As a cat lady, I was very happy to photograph those quiet, funny moments. They made the story feel even more real.

Their ceremony took place inside the venue, surrounded by large windows and soft natural light. During the ceremony, Sydney’s dress briefly caught fire from a candle. Thankfully, a bridesmaid put it out so calmly that I did not even notice in the moment. It was a wild moment, but the day carried on beautifully.

After the ceremony, we took portraits around the property. This is one of my favourite things about a Dundas Valley wedding. You can create so much variety in one location, both indoors and outdoors, without a lot of driving or downtime.

Later, the reception turned into such a fun party. There was even a Blue Jays game on that night, but everyone was still fully present and excited to celebrate Sydney and Matt. The whole evening felt joyful, relaxed, and full of energy.
