Hi! I'm Nicole, a Toronto wedding and portrait photographer who is obsessed with books, loves her family, and is passionate about taking authentic photos.
Sydney and Matt’s fall wedding at Dundas Valley Golf & Curling Club was one of those days that makes you stop and take it all in. Dundas is unreal in autumn, and this venue is especially spectacular for a fall wedding—forested views, Escarpment scenery, and that “tucked away” feeling while still being close to everything.
I’ll be honest: I only really discovered Dundas after I started photographing weddings, and now I’m wondering how I didn’t spend more time here sooner. The colour at this time of year is next-level, and it gave Sydney and Matt’s gallery that cozy, golden, November glow—despite the date being November 1, 2025. It was unseasonably perfect outside, the kind of weather you hope for and never want to jinx.
Getting ready was also a personal highlight: Sydney has two cats, and they made multiple cameos in the morning photos. As a cat lady, I was fully in my element photographing those quiet, funny little moments that make the story feel so real.
Their ceremony took place inside the venue with gorgeous large windows that filled the space with soft light. And then there was the most wild (and oddly calm) mishap: during the ceremony, Sydney’s dress briefly caught fire from a candle. A bridesmaid put it out so quietly that I didn’t even notice in the moment—true hero energy, crisis averted.
We took portraits all over the property, and it’s one of my favourite things about a Dundas Valley wedding: you get so many great photo locations in one place, indoors and outdoors, without a ton of driving or downtime. The reception was an absolute party—yes, there was a Blue Jays game on that night, but everyone was still completely happy to be there celebrating Sydney and Matt.
If you’re planning a Dundas Valley Golf & Country Club wedding, I’d love to photograph it.
