I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Candice and M.J.’s spring wedding at the beautiful Guild Inn Estate in the east end of Toronto. I met them a few years ago through one of my past couples, and from the very beginning, I knew this was going to be a special one. After a long lead-up and lots of excitement, their big day finally arrived — and it did not disappoint.

The Guild Inn is a dream venue for a Toronto wedding photographer. With its historic architecture, manicured gardens, and unique sculptural ruins scattered throughout the grounds, it offers countless stunning backdrops for portraits and candid moments. Springtime brought fresh blooms and soft light that made every photo even more magical.

One of my favourite parts of the day was seeing all the thoughtful, personal touches Candice incorporated. She designed the paper goods herself — she’s incredibly crafty — and even made the most adorable penguin cake topper for their wedding cake. Their bride and groom Yeti tumblers were a fun and fitting detail for a couple who is never without their water bottles.

It was such a joy to capture this wedding. Candice and M.J. are such a kind, creative, and loving couple. I’m wishing them a lifetime of love and laughter together.

I loved the expressions of Candice’s parents when they saw her in her dress.

We stepped outside during the reception for a few photos at sunset.

We got a bit of that golden glow and we were so happy!
